Under the Knife

Having to be up at 4:30 in the morning is never fun, espcially when it is because you have to be at the hospital at 5:30 to have your baby go into surgery.

It seemed to take forever for the drs to get there, and once they did and took my little 9mo Brawley away, it seemed to take forever to get him back. I couldn't eat anything but 3/4 of a chocolate covered doughnut, my stomach was so tore up. Couldn't read in the waiting room, couldn't do much of anything. We had thought we (Brawley and me) we going to have to spend the night, but since he did so good with the anestesia, we didn't have to. Once we got that news, to pass the time (I was driving Nate crazy) we took all of his things back to the car (camera & clothes). When Jeshua got there he kept asking about Brawley: Where was he? Can I see him? and then excitedly "Momma, my Brawley's here!". They called us to go up to the Same Day Discharge Unit, where they brought him out to us in a red plastic wagon (remember camera in the car!). We then had to give him a bottle of powerade (a clear liquid) to see if he kept it down, which he did. Then she asked if we had he clothes (yeah, in the car!!!). So here we are carrying a naked baby through the hospital. Sometimes things are too funny. Everyone is fine now, and all though he is tender, he is acting like nothing ever happened.
